Cameroun is situated in the western part of Central Africa and shares borders with several countries: Nigeria to the west and north, Chad to the northeast, the Central African Republic to the east, the Republic of the Congo and Gabon to the south, and Equatorial Guinea to the south and southwest. To the west, it has a coastline along the Atlantic Ocean.
